INGREDIENTS (French Connection)
- 2 1/2 Lbs Of Red Potatoes
- 1 Onion
- 3 Tbsp Plant-based Butter
- 1 Tsp Dry Mustard
- 2 Cups Plant Milk
- 1 Cup Water
- 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
- 4.5 Oz Misha’s French Connection Cheese
- 1/2 Tbsp Truffle Salt
- 1/4 Tsp Sea Salt Pepper To Taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Finely chop/slice the onion. Using a mandolin (easiest), cut potatoes into thin slices and place a small amount of onion (maybe 1/2 teaspoon or so) in between each of the slices of potatoes stacking horizontally around the baking dish until the dish is full or potatoes are finished.
Preheat oven to 400 F.
Place water, milk, butter, oil, mustard, French Connection Cheese, and salts in a pot and heat to a simmer (about 3-5 minutes). Stir continuously until smooth.
Pour this mixture over the potatoes. (Don’t use a baking dish that is too tall, we want the potatoes to be completely covered in the mixture as it will evaporate some in the oven).
Use black pepper on top of the dish then place in hot oven for 90 minutes. Serve.
